I want to thank everyone that made the trip to Whittemore Speedway!!! We had rain right as we were to start qualifying, looked at radar and seen it was going to pass. We had several visitors from the southern border of Michigan to our friends from Canada, we were committed to get the races in for the drivers and fans.
Amerigas Modifieds - #37 Andy Hess (1st modified feature win at Whittemore and 6th different winner in as many weeks in the Amerigas Modified class)
Rayburn Oil Factory Stocks - #65 Rick Spencer (3rd feature of the season)
Lead Sleds - #42 Derek Moe (4th feature of the season)
Mini Stocks - #54 Keith Lutes (4th feature of the season, but 5th for the season for the car and 3rd in a row for the car *Ed Muckenthaler filled in*
Again thanks to the teams for their efforts in drying the track and staying on top of things to keep the show running smoothly...
Yeah, it started after the rain in qualifying. You just have to have your car push in both corners on both laps and then be lucky enough to have Bucks son Nick roll a 7, which put me on the pole... lol
It sure felt good to beat #7 Todd Mattheson and the rest of the field. But he is one of the best in the business and to have him starting outside me, had me a little nervous...
